2ND ALARM HOUSE FIRE IN YORK COUNTY, DOVER BORO

Tuesday, May 29, 2012  Station 9 units responded to assist Station 6 (Dover Boro) for a 2 alarm house fire. The first arriving units reported heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor of a Ranch style house. It was estimated to be about 75% involved. ROOM AND CONTENTS IN SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Sunday, May 27, 2012  This afternoon at 1424 hrs units from Progress, Edgemont, Penbrook, Colonial
Park, and Rescue 37 were dispatched to 3630 Brookridge Terrace in the 32-4 box for a
reported apt on fire. Engine 321 and the Chief 32 went enroute with updated info
that the owner left a candle burning and went to run an errand, came home and

2ND ALARM IN NEWBERRY TWP, YORK COUNTY

Friday, May 25, 2012  Today around 1440 hours units from Newberry Township were dispatched to their first due at 110 Miller Rd for a detached pole building on fire. First in units found a well involved garage close to a house and began exposure and deffensive attacks. Units were out a few hours and a 2nd alarm was struck for manpower on this hot humid day.

DUMP TRUCK CRASHES INTO FIREHOUSE AND SPARKS 3 ALARM BLAZE

Friday, May 25, 2012  Northampton County, Pa-- At least one person was killed today when a dump truck crashed through the Leithsville Volunteer Fire Company and burst into flames. WORKING FIRE IN CHOCOLATE-TOWN ** HERSHEY, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Friday, May 18, 2012  Today around 1500 hours units from Hershey and numerous mutual aid units were dispatched to 819 Reese Ave for a structure fire. First in units found a working fire on the first floor with extension to other floors. Crew's worked this smokey job for several hours before marking control.

REPORTED KITCHEN FIRE TURNS INTO WORK IN STEELTON, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Wednesday, May 16, 2012  This evening around 1915 units from Steelton got dispatched to their first due at 103 Lincoln Street for a reported kitchen fire. Chief 50 arrived on scene to find a 3 story wood framed duplex with smoke showing. Crews from Engine 50 were greeted with a well involved kitchen fire and extension to all floors. ONE TRAPPED IN SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Wednesday, May 16, 2012  Early this morning units from Company 37 in Susquehanna Township and the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire were dispatched to 22-322 Eastbound between jungle and Cameron Street at 0118 for a PIC. Crews arrived to find a SUV underneath a tractor trailor with one trapped with an extended extrication.

CHEMICAL FIRE IN BUCKS COUNTY RESULTS IN LODD FOR FIRE POLICE MEMBER

Wednesday, May 16, 2012  CHEMICAL FIRE – Bucks County, 5:02 a.m. 5/16/12 – A lighting strike caused a chemical fire at the Rohm and Haas Chemical Plant in Bristol Township. One bulk storage tank was set on fire. The fire was contained to a containment area with an unknown quantity released. The fire is now out and residents are advised to shelter in place. The Bucks County EOC has been activated. The Bristol Borough School District has closed for the day.

UPPER DAUPHIN COUNTY STAYS BUSY WITH ONE EJECTED AND ONE PINNED

Tuesday, May 15, 2012  At 06:30 hours Box 19-1 was transmitted for a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the area of the fire station bringing Co 19 (Carsonville) and Rescue-Engine 29-1. The Rescue-Engine responded with 3 (FF W. Leonard) and the Utility with 2 (FF T. Laudenslager). Upon arrival of of E19-1 they found one person heavily entrapped in the vehicle. TOKYO DINER IN LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Thursday, May 10, 2012  This evening at 2006 hours units from Lower Paxton Township were dispatched to Box 33-5 4089 Londonderry Rd at the Tokyo Diner for smoke from the ceiling. While enroute multiple calls were coming in the the county advising smoke in the building. E-33 arrived to find fire showing and the1st alarm was struck. Trucks 33 and 34 opened up the roof as crews on the interior worked to open the ceilings where the bulk of the fire was. E-32-1 was brought in on the 1st alarm and their crew assisted E-33... WORKING BASEMENT FIRE IN GRANTVILLE, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Thursday, May 3, 2012  This evening at 735 pm company 39 (grantville) was dispatched to 123 automatic lane for a reported kitchen fire. Chief 39 went enroute and was advised the home owner is trying to go back in for their cats and that there was black smoke coming from the windows. Chief 39 arrived and confirmed a working fire and immediately had engine 39 drop a line at the end of the road and have engine 36-1 pick it up. 4 ALARM BUILDING FIRE IN CARLISLE, PA

Wednesday, May 2, 2012 2230 This evening at around 2230 hrs units were dispatched to box 45-1 for 50 Carlisle Springs Road in Carlisle Borough for a building fire.  First arriving units reported heavy fire from a large (several city blocks) industrial building.  A 2nd and 3rd alarm were requested and a 4th alarm soon followed.  Multiple explosions and collapses occured.  Units are still working this scene and will be for many hours to follow.  Units from Cumberland, Perry, Adams, Franklin, Dauph... CREWS BATTLE BARN FIRE IN GRANTVILLE, DAUPHIN COUNTY

Sunday, April 29, 2012  Today around 12:00 in the afternoon company 39 (Granville) was dispatched for a
commercial structure fire right by exit 80 off interstate 81. Engine 39 arrived  at 257 Bow Creek Rd and found an Antique store barn well involved. Command immediately established a water supply on the main rd and dropped 5 inch to the scene. Multiple tankers were brought in to assist, and Tower 1 (Palmyra) was instructed to come down the

UPDATE ON THE CLOSE CALL FIREFIGHTER INJURY IN COLUMBIA BOROUGH, LANCASTER COUNTY

Friday, April 27, 2012  Injured Firefighter Update:

While operating on the Rescue Co. Fireman Peters sustained 2nd degree burns to
his wrist, calf and foot area. With initial reports of people trapped and while
lines were being stretched, Peters initiated a search ahead of the hose line in
high heat zero visibility conditions. As searches were proving negative with all
occupants accounted for, Peters began assisting in suppression efforts by

Thursday, April 26, 2012  Units from Columbia Borough were dispatched to their first due for a reported structure fire. QRS 8 arrived on scene calling it a working fire, Chief 8 then requested the working fire assignment... Crew's found fire showing from a two story single family house. Crews made quick work of the fire and a firefighter sustained burns after his leg went through the floor.
